Thunder Storm brings wires down

Thunder storms passing through the area brought down wires on Fostertown Rd. at Sterling Way. Station 131 fire police closed Fostertown Rd. until PSE&G arrived to cut power to wires burning on shoulder of roadway. Once hazard was removed the roadway was reopened.


 
   
   
RV Chiefs Mutual Aid Drill

The RV Mutual Aid group sponsored a joint drill at the Fire Training Grounds to improve company relations and give members from all attending stations the opportunity to work with other stations.


 
   
   
Wills For Heroes

The Lumberton Emergency Squad and Fire Dept. hosted the group from Wills for Heroes at station 131. This group of Lawyers provide free legal services such as wills and power of attorney to all first responders. There was a great turnout and everyone appreciated this wonderful service.


 
   
   
Parade

Lumberton Fire Dept. and Lumberton Emergency Squad took part in a annual tradition of marching down Main Street  for Memorial Day.  Also in the parade was Hainsport (391) (399) and Mt Holly (501). The parade shows great tradtition and is also a good time for the residents of Lumberton. Pictures will be posted soon! Plane Crash at Flying W

At aprrox 2pm while at a Memorial Day service Sta 131 139 and Dist. 25 were dispatched to the Flying W for a plane crash on the runway. 1300 signed on and was given the report by central. 1311 was enroute wtih 3 as was units from 139. 1311 arriving first due went to work cleaning fluids and making sure the plane was secured with help of R2518. All units cleared in about 30min.


 
   
   
Placing Flowers in Graveyard

Members of the Lumberton Fire Co. place flowers and flags each year on the graves of deceased members as a sign of respect and gratification for their service in the past.


 
   
   
Pre Memorial Day truck clean-up

All platoons were assigned apparatus to prepare for the Memorial Day Parade. The platoon with the cleanest apparatus and equipment were to be awarded a prize. When the judging was completed, all aparatus looked great and everyone won a prize!

Lawn mower fire

Around 8pm Sta.131 was dispatched to 7 Shawn Way for a lawn mower fire. E1311 (Gibson) with 4 signed on was given the report by 1300 (Rossell) " well involved". Upon arrival crews went to work putting the fire out. All units cleared in about 25 min.
